In 1989, Charitify opened its doors. It was a place where low-income and homeless Calgarians could get basic medical care and referral services. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of people, but 30 years later, the city has changed – and Charitify has changed too. We’ve moved beyond basic services to an evidence-based, integrated care approach. By applying the science of brain development, that addresses the root causes of poverty and poor health, we create lasting, positive change for our clients, their children and our city.

Options for your donations:

• WHERE MOST NEEDED – The needs of our clients are ever-changing and as such, we will apply your donation where it is needed the most.
• ECONOMIC – Help us reduce economic barriers so individuals and families have stable homes, access to food and nutrition, improve their skills and job prospects and ultimately increase their quality of life.
• SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL – When people feel connected to their community, have good relationships with each other and learn to navigate through their challenges, their lives get better. With your support, together we will build a stronger, healthier city for all.
